Chris McClelland: Hi! Welcome to my blog. I blog about all sorts of topics here: spirituality, what it means to be human, what makes writing literature, the arts. Aviation. History. The art and craft of writing. I focus on writing contemporary and historical fiction in a way that can be entertaining or educational for you as a reader. I have been known to do a little journalism or poetry too and it occasionally gets published. I have been developing my writing for decades. My passion has always been great storytelling, particularly fiction that moves you, as a reader and as a person. Stories that shift your viewpoint to think about the world in a fresh way. I have had shorter pieces published in The Military Experience, SwimSwam, Irreantum, Poetry for Mental Health, Puerto Del Sol, Narrative Magazine and Mid-American Review, as well as, Harper’s, Letters to the Editor. Most recently I have had fiction, nonfiction and poetry published. I have won numerous awards for my writing, the most recent one being the Bronze Award from the Veterans’ Administration for Creative Writing (Fiction) in 2023 for a section of my up-coming novel, CONTRITION.
